About

Portrait of Filip Krzyżanowski, a backend developer working with PHP and Laravel

Backend engineering, from the query plan to the deploy.

I'm a backend engineer in the Laravel ecosystem, and my work splits in two. I build things and then keep them alive — Dead by Stats has been mine for five years and four rewrites, and today serves 21,000+ registered users across 8.9 million searches. And I go into codebases that already exist and make them faster: on RynekGPU that meant N+1 fixes, indexes, eager loading and caching.

PHP and Laravel at the core, with FrankenPHP, Redis, MySQL and Docker around them, and GitHub Actions running on every push. Nothing goes out until the suite is green — that rule holds for the packages I publish and for this site alike.

Let's build something together.

I work full-time and take on a limited number of projects alongside it — Laravel builds, backend performance work, and API integrations. If that's what you need, tell me what you're working on.
